Dippy About Exhibition
Great North Museum: Hancock were selected to be one of the 8 UK destinations for ‘Dippy the Diplodocus’ tour. From 1979 to 2017, Dippy took centre stage at the Natural History Museum in London delighting generations of adults and children alike.
We were selected by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums to work with them to produce a series of interventions to accompany Dippy during his visit.
Based on the theme of conservation, these interventions are designed to inform and educate visitors at select points throughout the museum. Linked to the relevant sections within the building, content deals with serious subjects such as extinction, global warming and pollution. Our task was to engage visitors of all ages with this content through creative design and fun interactives. Great North Museum: Hancock were so pleased with our solution that we have made some permanent changes around the museum, as well as designing and building an interactive table for adults and children.
Dippy is at the museum until 6th October 2019.
